My best holiday

On summer of 2011 I went to a friend’s house located from San Fernando to the foothills, we was a group of 8 friends. It was a small cottage in a place called “El Espinalillo” and we used it only to sleep, because we had no water, no light and neither gas.

I can say it was the most relaxed week in my life; we had no preoccupations (only making food).

We used to spend our all afternoons swimming in the river and at nightfall we entered into heat with a bonfire and good wine. (we used to sleep the all next morning)

The sky at night in there is really beautiful; you can see a lot of constellations and also different colors at the sky and at full moon the earth was filled of gray shades made of a big shining moon.

At next year we came back at the same place but this time with tents. At summer the weather in there is friendly, the day is hot but the river comes from the mountains, so the water is very cold.

It’s good to the soul to have those experiences, to shed the material things; Even when is a town away from home.

Ñaw

An artist I admire is Balthasar Klossowsky de Rola. Best known as Balthus, was a polish-french modern artist born in Paris on 1908.
Balthus showed no interest in modern art such as cubism, his paintings was primarily classical and figurative. One inspiration for Balthus was his own brother, Pierre, how was a philosopher and writer.
I admire him 'cause he always made controversy world of art with his paintings showing young girls in erotic and voyeuristic contexts. Balthus said his work was not erotic, he saw childs as a simbol of purify and naivety.
We also have something in common, a big fascination with cats! You can see in several paintings cats in the place.

Countries I would like to visit

I have never traveled to another country so I would like to go to many places but there is a place that really, really, I would like to know, and is New Zealand.

I've heard that it's a beautiful country and it has such a big and beautifull biodiversity.

I would like to know and see all those beautifull and hidden landscapes, and learn about the Mäori culture and Mäori’s art.

But this isn’t the only place I’d like to visit. I want to visit Morocco, and travel across Europe, from the Spain and Portugal to Finland.

But for the time being, I have not money to go nowhere, so i will save up all my money this year, and work a lot, to go to my first destiny out of Chili, Ecuador. And get advantage for knowing Peru and Bolivia during the travel.

Hi guys!

I'm Catalina Reyes. I'm a student of arts. I'm 22 years old and I'm from Machalí, Rancagua.

I was born in Machali in 1992 and i lived in there until 2010. I studied in a school in Rancagua named Quimahue, at the school I met my best friends with i still together.
Then I graduated from school and in 2011 I came to Santiago to study the desing career at this same University at first. I had a great year, I met good friends and had so much time to know this city, but at the end of the year I realized that career wasn't to me. So i enter to this career. I had learned a lot in this place. This is my last year as student and I just want this year ends soon to keep on with my projects.

I love cats, I guess I had lived with more than 20 cats in my life. Now I have my friend Cicciolina (is my cat, but she is really more like a son to me) and Nosfergatus, he is a fat and black cat, he's old, but he is adorable They live with my parents in Rancagua. I can't have cats in my apartment because my neighbors are against animals in the building :C
